Add fridges and freezers

Add every fridge, freezer and hot holding cabinet your team checks, each with a name, a type and the range its readings should stay inside.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then Fridges & Freezers.
  2. Tap Add a unit, or the + at the top once you have one.
  3. Enter a Name, such as Walk-in fridge.
  4. Pick the Type: Fridge, Freezer or Hot hold.
  5. Change the Acceptable range to match your own house rules, if you need to.
  6. Tap Add unit.

The unit appears in your team's next temperature round. Add one for every fridge, freezer or hot holding cabinet your team records a temperature for.

Starting ranges

Lemon fills in a starting range when you pick the type:

  • Fridge: 0 to 8 degrees Celsius
  • Freezer: minus 25 to minus 18 degrees Celsius
  • Hot hold: 63 to 90 degrees Celsius

Good to know

  • Any reading outside a unit's range is flagged as out of range. See Fridge temperatures.
  • Add units in the order your team walks the kitchen. Temperature rounds follow that order, which makes the closing routine quicker. The arrows beside each unit change the order later.
  • When a unit leaves the kitchen, open it and tap Archive unit. It stops appearing in daily recording, and its past readings stay in your records.
